Team Lead Senior Security Engineer
We are seeking a Team Lead - Senior Security Engineer who is innovative, dedicated, and highly-motivated in order to solve challenging problems for our client, a large scientific and medical research agency. You will serve as a subject matter expert in systems and network security vulnerability management on a large network and systems security team. You will provide technical guidance and response to system and network security incidents.

Responsibilities:
Interface with both contract and government personnel at all levels
Prepare and present budgets, plans, ideas, and/or concepts
Plan and implement projects, programs, and/or initiatives
Operate, manage and maintain security systems
Manage day to day operations flow
Mentor junior level security engineers
Firewalls
Security Information and Event Management (SIEM)
Patch Management
Vulnerability Scanners
Network Access Control (NAC)
Penetration Testing
Traffic Visibility Management
Network Traffic Full Packet Capture
Required Skills:
Bachelor’s degree or work experience equivalent and 10+ years total information technology experience
10 years of general information technology experience in one or more of the following areas: Systems Administration, Network Administration, Systems Engineering, Network Engineering or additional Information Security experience.
5+ years of dedicated information security experience, where responsibilities include planning, deploying, managing and maintaining enterprise security systems such as firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) systems, anti-virus systems, vulnerability scanning, etc.
Experience leading and/or managing a team
Demonstrates excellent analytical and problem solving skills
Experience working in a team-oriented and collaborative environment.
Strong organizational, problem solving, analytical, written and communication skills
Desired Skills
CISSP, CISA, CISM, or RHCE Certification
Hands on experience with Windows Server, WorkStation, and Linux operating environment
Hands on experience with Networking (TCP/IP)
Hands on experience with Firewalls (CheckPoint,Cisco ASA,etc...)
Hands on experience with Network Access Control (ForeScout,etc...)
Hands on experience with Vulnerability Scanning management (Nessus,etc...)
Hands on experience with Enterprise Anti-Virus solutions (McAfee,etc...) Hands on experience with Patching management (BigFix,etc..).
Hands on experience with Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) Hands on experience with intrusion detection/prevention systems IDS\IPS Hands on experience with Penetration Testing (Core Impact, etc...)
