A minimum of 2-3 years demonstrated experience: UX designer, interactive designer, front-end designer, or equivalent
Must be able to work with users to establish workflows
Must be able to obtain a security clearance
Have a diverse portfolio and the ability to work in a variety of styles and media
Examples of highly detailed wireframes and designs
Ability to use and participate shaping a design system
An excellent understanding of typography
Proficient using various design tools (ex: Adobe Creative Suite, AdobeXD or Figma)
Ability to communicate and work as part of a team, as well as independently
Self-starter with excellent time-management skills and the ability to meet challenging deadlines
Possess strong communication skills, both oral and written
Deductive reasoning, listening, flexibility, and critical thinking skills and the ability to predict problems before they occur
Ability to easily adapt and learn new things, whether it’s a new prototyping tool, design process, or business process
Knowledge of Google Design Sprints
Knowledge of agile software development
Fine arts background
Ability to travel frequently to Northern Virginia or relocate

Responsibilities The UX/UI Designer helps shape and mold products at DI
The creative professional will be developing designs and experiences for a web platform
You will be using a design system to create flowcharts, wireframes, prototypes, and mockups
You will be responsible for the design from start to finish
Create wireframes, designs and prototypes for web, with possibility of mobile or desktop, to include spaces of all shapes and sizes
Map out user flows and information architecture
Utilize user research as an input to the design process
Launch your ideas, which means working from kickoff through development and getting sign-off along the way (e.g. final wires and flows, specs, use cases, etc)
Prototype your ideas – whether high or low fidelity using the Adobe Suite, AdobeXd or Figma
Work closely with Project Managers and the Development team to craft and iterate on project needs and goals
Define problems and opportunities
Pay: $60,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
