Taft is currently seeking a Director of Financial Reporting & Analytics to join our team in our Chicago, Cincinnati, Cleveland, Columbus, Dayton, Detroit (Southfield), Indianapolis, or Minneapolis office. We are seeking a Director of Financial Reporting & Analytics with 5 to10 years experience to support our Chicago, Cincinnati, Cleveland,Columbus, Dayton, Detroit (Southfield), Indianapolis, or Minneapolisoffice. The Director of Financial Reporting & Analytics will help theCFO lead Tafts financial systems and business intelligence team in thedevelopment of effective tools, metrics and other reporting in supportof attorney practice development, firm strategic initiatives andinternal finance department needs. Duties and Responsibilities:
Analyze business processes and requirements.
Develop various financial reports and models in support of firm anddepartment priorities.
Coordinate with lawyers and the firms IT and Strategy departments todesign financial models and tools to assist attorneys in thedevelopment of effective. pricing strategies and monitoring ofservice delivery against budgets and other metrics.
Design effective attorney dashboards for financial metrics and keyperformance indicators.
Perform data profiling and develop protocols to identify anomalies.
Provide support to the CFO for due diligence analysis.
Maintain solid understanding of partner compensation and the metricsthat drive it.
Identify opportunities to improve processes and strategies andstreamline operations.
Supervise and direct the activities of Tafts accounting systems andreporting staff to ensure accuracy and alignment with firm anddepartment priorities.
Ensure subordinate staff is well informed and on-task.

Education and Experience:
Bachelors degree in accounting, business analytics or computerscience.
Five to ten years experience in an analytical position within theaccounting/finance function, including supervisory authority.
Experience working with and writing complex database queries, storedprocedures, Online Analytical Processing (OLAP), and data cubetechnology.
Preference will be given to candidates with MBA and law firmexperience.
