Responsibilities:
* Prioritize invoices according to cash discount potential and payment terms
* Respond to all vendor & customer inquiries
* Review all claims invoices for appropriate documentation and approval prior to payment
* Route claims invoices for the appropriate documentation if not originally present
* Take incoming calls through the accounting queue
* Enter invoices into batches
* Meet minimum productivity standards within first 90 days of employment
* All other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
* High school diploma required, college courses in accounting preferred
* Must be well organized and a self-starter
* Must be able to follow standard filing procedures
* Detail oriented, professional attitude, reliable
* Possess strong organizational and time management skills
* Strong problem solving skills, basic accounting principles knowledge, documentation skills, research and resolution skills, data analysis and multi-tasking skills
* Proficient in Excel, Word, Outlook & 10-key by touch, Great Plains experience a plus
* Ability to type 60-65 wpm
* Basic 10-key skills
* Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing
* Ability to interact with employees and vendors in a professional manner
* Ability to work independently and with a team in a fast-paced and high volume environment with emphasis on accuracy and timeliness
* Ability to perform mathematical computations such as percentages, fractions, addition, subtraction, multiplication and division quickly and accurately
* Heavy customer service experience, call center environment is preferred
* Must commit to a set schedule with occasional overtime
