Alpha Vantage is a Y-Combinator backed software company that is building the definitive platform for the next generation of financial market participants. Our APIs are used by a global base of developers and investors in both the private and public sectors. As a GTM (Go-to-Market) Lead, you will serve as a bridge between our users/customers and product and ultimately play a key role in building up our go-to-market function.

Your primary mission as GTM Lead is to generate additional revenue and uncover new opportunities within our API products. To this end, the first 3 months will be spent getting up to speed on our APIs, our value proposition, and most importantly our users (both freemium and paid). Starting in month 4, you will be assigned a revenue quota. Depending on how well you perform, this role has the potential to evolve from an individual contributor to a manager role (in which you build and lead a team) very rapidly.

If you are a self-starter who is constantly curious, has strong oral communication skills, and is a fast learner, we want to hear from you!

Responsibilities:

❚ Spend the majority of your time interacting with our users (both freemium and paid) to understand what frustrates and delights them. Identify ways we can help, while always maintaining a strong focus on their needs

❚ Advocate for customers and users, translating their feedback into actionable intelligence for product management and leadership

❚ Work closely with other internal teams to improve our product offerings and messaging around new products

❚ Gain unique insights into how our rapidly growing global user/customer base is using Alpha Vantage

❚ Analyze our internal processes and advocate for changes to improve and help scale our operations

Minimum Qualifications:

❚ Experience in sales and/or marketing with a basic understanding of how to convert freemium users into paying customers

❚ Experience carrying and proven success hitting revenue quotas

❚ Have the ability to thrive in ambiguity and work well in an unstructured environment

❚ Enjoy talking about technical concepts, have great analytical skills, and be comfortable explaining how our APIs work to a range of audiences

❚ Ability to empathize with users/customers and quickly grasp the issues they are facing

❚ Enjoy leveraging data to make decisions and getting to the root cause of customer needs (Experience with database querying languages such as SQL is a big plus!)
