A Day In The Life Of Our Sr. Project Manager:
* Collaborate with the key stakeholders and leadership team to define, manage and own project scope.
* Develop and manage the detailed project schedule. Analyze critical path, major workstreams, and dependencies.
* Understand and communicate how project goals fit into broader organizational goals and prioritize tasks/schedule accordingly.
* Develop a risk management plan for the project. Identify, analyze, and understand project risks, develop and monitor a risk register.
* Partner with cross-functional managers to assign cross functional project resources. Provide direct feedback to functional managers.
* Develop and execute communications management plan for project team, key stakeholders, and business leaders
* Work closely with R&D, Mfg, Product Management, Marketing, and Clinical teams to analyze and make appropriate tradeoffs between product features, customer needs/requirements, manufacturability, and cost.
* Work closely with NPI counterparts to ensure prototypes, supplier and manufacturing activities are scheduled and tracked appropriately
* Work closely with Design, Systems, Mfg, Regulatory, Quality and ensure design control and quality systems processes are followed per relevant procedures.
About You:
* 5+ years of experience in the new product development environment in medical devices or similarly regulated fields.
* 2+ years of project management experience in the new product development environment
* B.S. in ME/EE/SW/Biomed or equivalent engineering discipline required
* M.S. in ME/EE/SW/Biomed or equivalent engineering discipline is preferred
* Proven ability to lead, influence and work well at all levels of an organization and in a cross functional team environment
* Comfortable with all phases of the product development lifecycle including concept development, testing, design, implementation, verification, validation and manufacturing transfer
* Willing to go the extra mile with a strong work ethic; self-directed and resourceful with the ability to drive to a solution
* Requires knowledge of engineering, product strategy and business management
* Experience launching disposable products preferred, including knowledge of shelf life, packaging, biocompatibility, and sterilization
* Understanding of fundamentals of robotics preferred
* Proficient with Microsoft Project and/or other project management tools
