General Summary
The position is responsible for collaborating in the Company's Environmental and Quality Programs, as the technical expert and point of contact for quality and environmental related matters throughout the Hwy 101 Carpinteria to Santa Barbara Project corridor to minimize risks through a proactive approach.
Essential Job Accountabilities
Expert resource for project personnel in environmental and quality related matters.
Primary point of contact for third party testers, inspectors, suppliers, and the owner for quality and environmental related matters.
Collaborate with team members to ensure compliance with all health, environmental, and quality (HEQ) policies and procedures, as well as all relevant regulations, industry standards, and best practices for an assigned location.
Partner with project personnel in environmental and quality related matters.
Stay updated on quality requirements related to the work performed on the corridor.
Assess test/inspection results and effectively outline and communicate next steps.
Lead the review of Project Stormwater Permits.
Complete/Submit Weekly/Pre/During/Post/Annual Stormwater Reports.
Train personnel to implement Stormwater BMPs per the CGP (Construction General Permit), IGP (Industrial General Permit) and project specifications.
Submit IGP Stormwater results to the RWQCB website.
Education
Bachelor's degree in Environmental and/or Quality or related field.
Work Experience
2+ years' experience in construction or applicable industry with environmental and/or quality related responsibilities required.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Stormwater State Certifications (QSP/QSD) desired
Knowledge of environmental and quality requirements related to the work performed.
Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills and ability to interface effectively with team of varied disciplines.
Ability to communicate technical information clearly and concisely.
Motivated self-starter
Attention to detail and ability to prioritize effectively.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. The employee frequently is required to stand, walk, sit and use hands to operate a computer keyboard. The employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms and must have the ability to work at height, in enclosed or confined spaces and climb stairs and ladders in a construction/plant environment. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds from floor to waist. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, and ability to adjust focus.
