MW Logistics is currently positioning itself for growth. We are seeking individuals for the Director of Operations position to join our team.
The Core responsibilities of the position include:
Develop, implement, and monitor day-to-day operational systems and processes to provide visibility into the goals, progress, and obstacles of key initiatives.
Draw on relationships with department heads, external partners, and vendors to make decisions regarding operational activity and strategic goals.
Plan, monitor, and analyze key metrics for day-to-day operations to ensure efficient and timely completion of tasks.
Devise strategies for ensuring the growth of programs enterprise-wide and implement process improvements to maximize output and minimize costs.
Adhere to the company’s policies and standards and ensure that laws and regulations are being followed.
Work closely with Human Resources to lead the team with integrity and to establish and maintain a trusting, inclusive, and productive environment.
Work with accounting team in the development of financial and budgetary plans
Collaborate with senior managers in the development of performance goals and long-term operational plans.
Maximize efficiency and productivity through extensive process analysis and interdepartmental collaboration.
Set strategic goals for operational efficiency and increased productivity.
Analyze current operational processes and performance, recommending solutions for improvement where necessary.
Carrier Development in non- asset environment
Managing Carrier Sales Team (2+ years)
Strong Negotiation Ability (Carrier, Customer, Margin Integrity)
Create a carrier following utilizing historical data and carrier management techniques.
Carrier Procurement KPI’s (i.e., load count, revenue, margin, load count, call logs)
McLeod Experience a plus
Other duties as needed.
Professional Qualifications and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in business administration or related field required.
Five or more years in a senior leadership role in a field related to our industry.
Defining, implementing, and revising operational policies and guidelines for the organization
Work with the human resources department to develop and implement staff evaluation parameters.
Liaising with departmental heads to develop financial plans and ensure company-wide operational compliance.
Overseeing client support services
Conducts performance evaluations that are timely and constructive.
Establishes quantitative and qualitative metrics, guidelines, and standards by which the company's efficiency and effectiveness can be evaluated; identifies opportunities for improvement.
Reviews, analyzes, and evaluates business procedures.
Implements policies and procedures that will improve day-to-day operations.
Ensures work environments are adequate and safe.
Oversees manufacturing, purchasing, and sales departments, ensuring each is reaching goals set by departmental and company leadership.
Plans, directs, controls, implements, evaluates, monitors, and forecasts budgets and cost of sales in each division to achieve financial objectives.
Communicates and explains new directives, policies, or procedures to managers; for major changes, meets with entire operations staff to explain changes, answer questions, and maintain morale.
Improves customer service and satisfaction through policy and procedural changes.
