Position Overview: We are seeking a seeking a motivated, career and customer-oriented Cybersecurity Engineer (Vulnerability Engineer) to join our team in Annapolis Junction, MD. The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing and maintaining cybersecurity measures to protect critical assets and infrastructure supporting space operations. This role offers the opportunity to work on cutting-edge cybersecurity initiatives within a dynamic and mission-critical environment.

Cybersecurity and development expertise to design, test, implement, and manage safeguards against cyberattacks of the system.
Identify, mitigate, and resolve vulnerabilities within existing security systems.
Work directly with penetration testers to perform penetration tests and assess potential security problems.
Prepare performance reports and communication system status to keep users and leadership informed.
Design, deploy, and manage cybersecurity tools and technologies, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and encryption mechanisms, to safeguard classified and sensitive information.
Monitor and analyze cybersecurity alerts and incidents, responding promptly to security breaches and conducting forensic investigations as necessary.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including system administrators, network engineers, and software developers, to integrate cybersecurity best practices into the design and development of space systems.
Provide cybersecurity training and awareness programs to personnel, ensuring compliance with cybersecurity policies and procedures.
Maintain awareness of emerging threats, vulnerabilities, and trends in cybersecurity, and recommend proactive measures to enhance the security posture of space operations.
Maintain quality service by following organization standards, attending educational workshops for increased technical knowledge, and reviewing publications.

Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent.
5 years of position-relevant work experience.
DoD 8570.01-m IAM Level III or IASAE Level III.
Experience with embedded system vulnerability development.
Experience working within a Scrum team or agile environment.
Active Top Secret SCI security clearance is required.
Strong knowledge of cybersecurity principles, practices, and technologies, including network security, encryption, access control, and incident response.
Experience with cybersecurity tools and technologies, such as SIEM platforms, endpoint protection systems, and penetration testing tools.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
