Under the direction of the JFS General Manager, the Corporate Vice President of Sales ensures the attainment of profits and effective distribution of products by developing and managing the sales department to meet the Food Service Division's sales goals.

What Will You Be Doing?

Prospects and interview new Regional Sales Manager candidates in conjunction with the Human Resources Department.

Develop short-term and long-term sales department objectives and goals for integration into the corporate strategic planning process.

Selects, orients, trains, and conducts performance appraisals for regional Account executives in conjunction with the Regional Sales Managers.

Communicates to the Regional Sales Managers all pertinent information and changes affecting assigned accounts and/or territory.

Communicates to all other departments about any changes within the assigned territory. This would include changes with customers, products, or any other relevant information.

Attends food and trade meetings/shows as necessary to ensure that JFS is maintaining currency with all commodities.

Prepares annual budget for submission to General Manager and ensures Sales Department operates within budget.

Organizes and leads monthly sales meetings.

Prepares commissions and bonus programs for sales leaders.

Assists managers with reviews of the sales team and sales department staff.

Oversees company customer golf tournaments (twice per year).

Compliance with federal and state safety regulations and with company safety policies and procedures.

Performs additional duties as delegated, assigned, or required.

What Experience, Skills, and Attributes Will You Need to Be Successful?

Must have a bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from a four-year college or university, or at least 10-15 years of management experience inclusive of sales and marketing for a full-line distributor serving restaurants, hotels, schools, government agencies, and bid accounts.

Strong leadership and sales skills

Analytical skills to evaluate data and use it to make decisions

Understanding of market trends and adaptability to follow those trends

Effective problem-solving and customer service skills

Motivational and influential

What Do We Offer?

Pay Scale: VP of Sales, Exempt Level, Target Starting Salary Range = $165,000 - $175,000 (Actual starting salary rate will depend on chosen candidate’s qualifications). Including bonus potential of up to 35%, will be provided a company vehicle, and company phone.
