Position Summary
- This position is responsible for the management of operations at VASCORs warehouse located at 109 Triport Rd, Georgetown, KY.
Oversee operations at VASCOR warehouse to ensure that all incoming and outgoing inventory is processed according to schedule. Their duties include preparing schedules for warehouse associates, training new employees on how to use machinery, and monitoring compliance with safety standards.
**A. **Objectives of this Role****
* Ensure the warehouse operates at peak efficiency, with customer satisfaction being the primary goal, by supervising, organizing, directing, and training warehouse employees and establishing, monitoring, and managing operation goals
* Develop warehouse operations systems by determining product handling and storage requirements, equipment utilization, inventory management, gate processes, and shipping
* Train and manage a warehouse team to solve day-to-day operational issues and reach short- and long-term performance goals
* Oversee daily operations while controlling and managing inventory and logistics
* Review and prepare workflow, manning and space requirements, layout, and action plans while ensuring productivity, quality, and customer service standards are met
* Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by establishing, following, and enforcing standards and procedures and complying with legal regulations **B. **Daily and Monthly Responsibilities****
* Supervise daily activities of the warehouse, including quality assurance, inventory control, space management, logistics, floor productivity, shipping, and customer service
* Schedule and oversee warehouse team to meet the demands of the fulfillment center and manage the flow and quality of work to maximize efficiency and minimize overtime
* Inspect equipment, tools, and machinery regularly, and oversee general maintenance as needed
* Meet regularly with employees to review, analyze, and develop actionable plans for productivity and loss prevention
* Oversee and manage logistics utilized to transport products to customers and internal facilities, communicating with drivers and partners to ensure efficient delivery of packages
Essential Skills and Experience
* College degree (BS/BA) is preferred.
* Excellent leadership skills, including the abilities to set goals, motivate and manage conflict
* Effective communication skills, including writing, speaking, and active listening
* Great interpersonal skills
* Good project management skills, including strong decision-making, problem-solving, and strategic planning abilities
* Exceptional time management and organization skills
* In-depth understanding of industry and company best practices for the warehouse
* Familiarity with bookkeeping, inventory control practices, and logistics
* Comfortable using inventory management software and other organizational computer applications
* Physical strength, stamina, and the ability to walk or stand for long periods of time
* Must be able to meet the physical requirements of the job.
