We're looking for a n Electrical Design Engineer to join our team and help us achieve our ambitious goals. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the electrical design and development of Spectrum products, from conception to completion, with a strong proficiency in component selection, schematic design and PCB layout. T he successful c andida te will posses strong leadership and management skills and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure products meet customer requirements and industry standards . Ideal candidate will also have an "eye" for practical efficient electrical design along with a strong understanding of mechanical design principles. Candidate will also posses the skills to properly document and complete designs on time and on budget.

Duties/Responsibilities

Design and develop electrical, analog/digital, wireless, networking systems, single or multi layerPCB/CCA and components for a variety of projects.

Create and review electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and layout drawings.

Develop specifications for electrical components and systems.

Work with project managers to establish project schedules and budgets.

Collaborate with other members of the engineering team to ensure that all systems meet customer requirements and industry standards.

Conduct tests and experiments to validate designs and troubleshoot issues.

Provide technical support to customers and suppliers, including the potential for some travel to key customer or supplier locations, as required.

Participate and present applicable material in design reviews and provide feedback to improve the design process.

Keep up-to-date with industry trends, standards, and regulations including proven knowledge in designing products to meet RTCA DO-160G test standards.

Lead a growing team of engineers, provide mentorship, training, employee growth plans, etc.

Participate in establishing repair capabilities for products designed, including physical repair work within the engineering team and required documentation for customers to repair product.

Required Skills and Abilit ies

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related engineering field.

At least 7 years of experience in electrical design and product development.

Employee or team management experience.

Detailed knowledge of PCB/CCA manufacturing processes, design rules and standards for EMI/RFI minimization.

Strong knowledge of electrical systems and components.

Proficiency in CAD software, such as AutoCAD or SolidWorks Electrical.

Experience with electrical design tools such as LTSpice, PSpice, and MATLAB/Simulink.

Experience with analog and digital circuit design, signal processing, and control systems.

Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

Excellent communication, collaboration, and leadership skills.

Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.

Ability to travel domestically and internationally, as required.

Experience in the aerospace, defense, or automotive industries preferred.

The salary range shown is i nclusive of applicable allowances/stipends and reflects the minimum and maximum possible salary for new hires for the role, based on the advertised location. Individual pay is determined by several factors including work location, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education and training.
