JANUS Research Group is seeking a motivated Computer Network Architect at Patuxent River in support of the NAWCAD WOLF IC2&IS division to perform tasks in support of assigned Distance Learning and Knowledge Management related technologies and systems.
Job Responsibilities:
Responsible for the operation and maintenance of networks, including monitoring and responding to hardware, software, and network problems.
Design and implement computer and information networks, such as LANs, WANs, intranets, extranets, and other data communication networks.
Perform network modeling, analysis, and planning, including analyses of capacity needs for on premise and cloud network infrastructures.
Design network and computer security measures.
Research and recommend network and data communications hardware and software.
Required Education and Experience:
BS degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Data Science, Information Systems, or Computer Science, from an ABET accredited or CAE designated institution
Of the minimum seven years of required experience, at least two years of the experience must be with engineering networks supporting the DoD.
Additionally, at least five years of experience must include practical experience in secure network and system design, analysis, and procedure/test generation.
CCNA certification required
