About the Role
The Company is seeking a Corporate Counsel to join their dynamic legal team. The successful candidate will be a key player in advancing strategic corporate initiatives by providing high-quality, proactive, and business-oriented legal advice. This role involves close collaboration with various business partners, including sales, security, IT, HR, software development, and marketing. Responsibilities for the Corporate Counsel include the review, drafting, and negotiation of a wide range of commercial contracts, the development and implementation of compliance policies and procedures, and the management of litigation and dispute matters. The ideal candidate will have a JD from an accredited law school, be a member in good standing of the California State Bar, and have at least 5 years of relevant experience, with a strong preference for prior in-house counsel experience.Candidates for the Corporate Counsel position at the company should be driven, self-motivated, and have a passion for learning and collaboration. Expertise in drafting and negotiating commercial contracts, particularly in the software industry, is essential. Experience in additional relevant practice areas such as intellectual property, labor and employment, technology transactions, data privacy, and security is a plus. The role requires exceptional communication, presentation, and facilitation skills, as well as the ability to interact confidently and diplomatically across all levels of the organization. The successful candidate will be team-focused, with a collaborative work style, and have a proven track record of working efficiently, managing multiple projects, and meeting demanding deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
