To support the organization's next phase, Read Better Be Better is seeking a mission-focused and strategic leader to manage its growth. Combining a strong managerial skillset, relevant experience and a passion for education equity, the Ops Director will work in alignment with the CEO and interdepartmentally to effectively manage RBBB's infrastructure, processes and human and financial resources.

Read Better Be Better (RBBB) is an education nonprofit focused on solving Arizona's literacy crisis. We work with partnering school districts throughout Phoenix and com munities throughout Arizona to connect young readers and youth leaders to inspire a love of literacy and learning. Since 2014, we have served thousands of students with our after-school program in over 70 schools. Each school semester, we have expanded to serve more students, schools, and families. We are a mission-driven, collaborative community of passionate and creative professionals , and we welcome those seeking to apply their work expertise and strengths to making a positive impact on Arizona's education system .
A Day as RBBB's Operations Director !
Read Better Be Better (RBBB) is seeking a dynamic and experienced Operations Director to join our team. Reporting to the CEO, the Operations Director will oversee department leads in training, IT, finance, and recruitment. This role is pivotal in ensuring the effective and efficient operation of the organization with a focus on financial oversight, budgeting, progress reporting, and legal compliance. The Operations Director will ensure adherence to the operating plan and collaborate closely with department heads to develop and manage budgets.
Some of the Essential Functions and Responsibilities of this role include:
Provide direct oversight and support to the lead staff responsible for recruiting, training, and developing team members
Hold overall responsibility for recruiting part-time Program Coaches to successfully deliver school programming
Financial oversight
Develop and lead the budgeting and forecasting process
Lead and coordinate emergency response and crisis management efforts
Supervise and manage all aspects of facilities operations and maintenance
Develop and monitor metrics to evaluate organizational performance
Continue to develop and manage organizational processes, coordinating across all departments for maximum effectiveness and efficiency

Preferred Education and Experience
Previous experience in the non-profit sector.
Experience in a start-up environment.
Familiarity with Salesforce, QuickBooks, Outlook, Monday, and Office 365.
