First Databank (FDB) is seeking a Commercial Business Systems Analyst. The Commercial Business Systemts Analyst will work with business partners to identify, define and clarify scope of problems and issues. This individual will also serve as a point of escalation for governance and data quality and have responsibility for improving the quality and ensuring the integrity of critical customer and prospect-related data and information assets.
The Commercial Business Systems Analyst should thrive on solving complex problems and developing innovative solutions related to Salesforce, Gainsight and Mulesoft while striving for OOTB solutions and articulating the pros/cons of customizations.
Position will be based out of our Indianapolis, IN office.
Responsibilities:
Serve as a Salesforce and Gainsight SME and help drive salesforce requirements and changes to enhance our sales process efficiency and standardization of processes.
Establish and govern an enterprise data governance implementation roadmap including strategic priorities.
Develop and implement a formal plan to establish a baseline, improve, and maintain data quality.
Define roles and responsibilities related to data governance and ensure clear accountability for stewardship of the commercial team’s principal information assets.
Serve as a liaison between commercial team, finance, IT and other areas to ensure that data related business requirements for ensuring data integrity are clearly defined, communicated, and well understood and considered as part of operational prioritization and planning.
Work with business systems personnel on issues related to software applications that utilize and rely on commercial team data.
Coordinate external data sources to eliminate redundancy and streamline the expense related to those services.
Create rules and procedures for data sharing and quality control.
Evaluate design of existing business processes & systems to judge their functionality, effectiveness, reliability, performance, usage, maintainability
Support the Systems Analyst in overseeing defects, aligning processes with technical solutions and resolving issues.
Assist with the implementation of new Commercial Business Systems Solutions in Salesforce, Gainsight and Mulsesoft
Assist with development and maintenance of field reports/dashboards using either SFDC report builder, Wave or other BI tools available.
Required Skills:
Strong knowledge of Salesforce.com platform is required
Experience with Gainsight, Ringlead (or related data management software), PowerBi and other business intelligence tools and platforms.
Self-sufficient, flexible, and motivated team player capable of managing several activities simultaneously
Excellent communication skills are critical
Ability to analyze business processes, design process improvements, and train business users on the new processes
Excellent writing skills. Must have the ability to express strategy, technical knowledge, and processes in easily understood presentations
Experience in the healthcare, pharma or medical device industry a plus
Required Experience:
At least 5 years of experience working in a Business Analyst position
At least 3 years of experience working on projects related to Commercial/Sales process improvement
Applicant is actively working with SFDC in current position or has done so in a recent position. Certification in SFDC administration and/or development a plus.
Applicant has worked in a business analyst role supporting commercial functions
Strong knowledge of Salesforce.com concepts including standard objects structure, workflows, reporting, general design concepts and overall approach of Salesforce.com as a CRM platform

In accordance with applicable law, Hearst is required to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation for this role if hired in Indianapolis, IN. The reasonable estimate, if hired in Indianapolis, is $57,500 – 75,000. Please note this information is specific to those hired in location. If this role is open to candidates outside of location, the salary range would be aligned to that specific location. A final decision on the successful candidate’s starting salary will be based on a number of permissible, non-discriminatory factors, including but not limited to skills and experience, training, certifications, and education.
