Job Description Summary
As AES strives to become the customer-first, digital-focused, clean energy provider of the future, the success of our digital customer experience platforms and applications becomes critical to our strategic success. The successful Program Manager of Digital Transformation will play a pivotal role in leading the execution and deployment of the Digital Program by partnering directly with our local and global digital teams, business stakeholders, and strategic partners to ensure our vision is translated to customer outcomes.
Job Description
Primary Responsibilities
Collaborate with business unit leadership to define the program scope and create a detailed work breakdown structure.
Manage programs & stakeholders through the continuous creation of clarity and robust communication, striving for simplification.
Develop and manage the program, analyze the critical path and milestones, and monitor and maintain the program budget.
Partner with project teams to create program quality plans, identify, analyze, and respond to program risks.
Develops a stakeholder engagement plan and a communication management plan.
Develops the overall program strategy, tactically drives teams to deliver, defines the program objectives and metrics, and works autonomously in an ambiguous environment.
Solves ambiguous problems, proactively mitigates risks, communicates progress and impact, engages with other business units, and contributes to the discipline of program management.
Basic Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems, Information Technology (IT), Computer Science, or STEM" Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) plus a minimum of 3 years experience.
Minimum 3 years of program management experience
Fluency in English. Spanish is also a strong plus.
Preferred Skills
Project management certification
Experience with SAP, ARIBA, or other computerized maintenance management system.
Working knowledge of the energy industry work
Effective organizational skills with commitment to deadlines
Effective verbal and written communication skills
Self-motivated individual with a positive attitude
Strong interpersonal, technical and financial skills
Strong computer skills with knowledge in Microsoft Office and project tacking applications.
Team player with the willingness and ability to learn/teach.
Ability to quickly adapt to changing business needs.
