Associate Account Manager

We are seeking an Associate Account Manager (MA) who is accountable for forging, fostering, and maintaining accounts for Ascend's wholesale business. The ideal candidate has an exceptional grasp of the wholesale landscape, is able to garner positive relationships and delivers world class customer service to Ascend's clients. They will curate strategies to reach and exceed revenue targets by identifying, prospecting and connecting with opportunities in the market.

Location: Massachusetts; travel throughout the state 4-5 days per week

Primary Responsibilities:

Plan, and execute a comprehensive wholesale roadmap that aligns to company growth strategy within their assigned territory (MA)

Achieve monthly revenue targets

Develop and maintain strong client relationships with wholesale partners and prospects

Identify new business opportunities, pitch, and manage negotiations for new wholesale partners and evaluate existing partners

Acts as the primary point of contact for customers and as backup for Senior Account Managers

Target new markets/regions for expanding wholesale

Ability to develop effective relationships with decision makers

Conduct pricing, cost analysis

Education, Experience, and Training: Bachelor's degree in related field preferred

2+ years successful sales experience in Cannabis preferred

Must be 21 years of age or older

Successful sales track record

Highly effective communicator

Passion for nurturing and building relationships

Flexible to work in a fast paced, changing environment

Reliable transportation and ability to travel throughout the state of MA

Ability to work outside of normal business hours

Passionate about delivering best in class service

Ability to effectively negotiate and communicate across various levels

Must be proficient in Microsoft office suite, including Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint

Experience with HubSpot or CRM preferred

Treats people with respect, keeps commitments, inspires the trust of others, works with integrity and upholds organizational values

Is consistently at work and on time, ensures work responsibilities are covered when absent, arrives at meetings and appointments on time
