The Legal Department:
The Legal department of PracticeTek addresses legal matters at the corporate level and the department level. The department reports to the General Counsel, as part of the office of the Chief Financial Officer.
The Career Opportunity:
The Contracts Manager will help implement a cloud-based contract management system, with a primary responsibility of digitizing and storing all company agreements (from customers to vendors to service providers to others). The Contracts Manager will not only help the company administer the processing and execution of agreements, but will be involved in the full contract lifecycle to ensure parties are meeting and fulfilling their contractual obligations, including those related to renewals. The Contracts Manager will create or modify workflows and policies for contract review, approval, renewal and termination. In addition, the Contracts Manager may be asked to help prepare and negotiate agreements, including contracts for vendors, customers, contractors, and partners. This person will initially report to the General Counsel within the office of the Chief Financial Officer, but work closely with all functional and product leaders, and with the Finance and Accounting department in particular. The contracts manager will be the primary point of contact for matters concerning contracts.
We are open to candidates in either San Diego or Las Vegas. This position will be a hybrid schedule of 3 days a week in the office.
Areas of Accountability:
Manage the implementation of a contracts management system, and digitize and store all company agreements (including but not limited to customer agreements, vendor and partner contracts, and technology agreements). Recording, storing, and being able to administer and reproduce all company contracts will be the initial primary responsibility.
Ensure fulfillment of contract terms, including but not limited to renewal terms, termination options, and unique provisions.
Manage the entire contract lifecycle, from initiation and execution, to storage and distribution, to renewal and termination processes.
Document and update processes and policies associated with contracts, and recommend areas for improvement.
Ensure contracts adhere to legal requirements, company policies, and industry standards.
Address questions, and resolve issues, with contractual partners.
Assist with security and compliance programs, and regulatory filings.
Assist with legal research associated with contracts.
Update existing contracts to reflect changes in business terms and needs.
Draft, review, distribute, and manage a variety of contracts.
Collaborate closely with Executive, Sales, Operations, Finance teams, and legal counsel as required.
Communicate with customers, employees, vendors, partners, agencies, and counsel.
Competencies for Success: College degree, preferably in business, law, finance, or similar discipline
3+ years’ contract management experience
2+ years’ experience in the technology industry
Health care-related experience desired
Automated contract management system experience helpful
Written and verbal communication proficiency
Microsoft 365 proficiency, especially in Word and PowerPoint
Organizational skills
Detail-focused
At PracticeTek we carefully consider a wide range of compensation factors to determine our offers of employment. This includes internal and external market factors as well as your individual experience and skills. These considerations can cause compensation to vary but we reasonably expect to pay between $49,450 - $102,700for this position.
