Information Security Engineer
Job Responsibilities
Performing ongoing threatanalysis, incident response and investigations across a wide-rangingsecurity stack encompassing all aspects of a corporate environment –infrastructure, network, end user device, web applications etc.
Performing threat hunting andanalysis within SIEM, including UEBA, managed AV and firewall, internalevents etc.
Researching and trackinginformation about current security threats and potential vulnerabilities,assigning priority and response based on risk and exposure, guiding otherareas of IT through remediation and verification
Develop detailed technicaldocumentation, focusing on security process and policy, and applicationconfiguration baselines.
Participating in IncidentResponse exercises and operations
Providing specific assistanceand subject matter expertise in IT security projects and initiatives.
Skills and Qualifications
Bachelor of Science in ComputerScience or a related field
Four or more years’ workexperience as a System Security Engineer or related position
Three or more years' hands-onexperience utilizing SIEM and involvement in incident response team
Proven experience developing,operating and maintaining security systems
Solidunderstanding of the commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedureswithin the Information Security field including, but not limited tooperating systems and network security, application security,vulnerability analysis, encryption technologies, intrusion detection,incident response, business continuity management, security policy, etc.
Knowledge of security systemsincluding next-gen anti-virus applications, DLP tools and methodologies,firewalls, authentication systems, intrusion detection and notificationsystems
In-depth knowledge of securityprotocols and principles
Critical thinking skills andability to solve complex problems
Due to ITAR regulations, candidate must be a US Citizen or Permanent Resident
