SafeHaven is seeking a Director of Private Grants
This position has significant responsibilities, including obtaining funds for ongoing or special projects to support SafeHaven's funding needs. The position emphasizes identifying, applying, and stewarding private funding sources that expand agency revenues. This position also has significant responsibilities, including finding and researching, preparing, writing, and stewarding private foundation proposals and reporting. In addition to writing and managing private grant funding - responsible for grant calendar management and development to ensure each program category is funded appropriately.

The specific qualifications for this role are:
Bachelor's degree required.
Familiarity with fundraising software.
Minimum of 3 + years of successful direct fundraising experience.
Ability to creatively conceive and aggressively pursue fundraising opportunities as appropriate, promoting SafeHaven and its mission.
Ability to work a flexible schedule, including some evenings and weekends.
Dedication, flexibility, attention to detail, and creativity is a must.
Personal computer proficiency is required, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Self-motivated - able to determine necessary tasks to finish goals, strong project management skills
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret foundation requirements and guidelines.
Ability to respond creatively and diplomatically to conflicting priorities.
Excellent written, editing, and verbal communication skills with the demonstrated ability to use diplomacy and tact when communicating with all stakeholders.
Big picture thinker - able to strategically plan.
Excellent budget development.
Ability to interpret statistical data and compute agency statistical information.
