JOB TITLE: Human Resources Administrator (Leave of Absence Administrator)
WORK LOCATION: Hybrid, with 2 days per month in the office closest to home address
DURATION OF ASSIGNMENT: 6+ Months.
PAY RATE: $30 per hour on W2
WORK SCHEDULE: 8 am - 5 pm, 40 hours per week
EQUIPMENT: Provided - Standard laptop equipment.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Leave of Absence Administrator will report to the Manager, Leave of Absence. In this role, you will be responsible for managing various leave of absence programs including Family and Medical Leave, ADA, Parental Leave, and other company-provided leaves. Key responsibilities include:
Administering all aspects of leave of absences such as FMLA, parental leave, personal health emergency leave, and other company leaves.
Assisting the LOA team by handling employee inquiries, documentation requests, leave extensions, and overall leave tracking in coordination with third party administrators.
Processing and tracking LOA statuses using Oracle HCM.
Communicating LOA details accurately and regularly with Payroll and Benefits departments.
Collaborating with employees, third party administrators, managers, and HR Business Partners throughout the leave process to manage eligibility, approval, return to work processes, and extensions.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Requires extensive knowledge of leave of absences, including FMLA, CFRA, ADA, CA State Disability Insurance, CA Paid Family Leave, and other relevant state and federal laws.
Experience: Minimum 3 years’ experience in Leave of Absence, ADA, and Workers Compensation Administration.
Communication Skills: Excellent oral and written communication skills required. Must be able to effectively communicate with employees at all levels.
Preferred Skills (nice to have): Experience with The Hartford Absence Management and Oracle HCM preferred.
Education Requirements: Minimum 3 years hands-on experience in Leave of Absence administration.
Software Skills Required: Proficiency in Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, and HRIS data entry.
