SUMMARY:
Utilizes basic skills to repair, maintain and perform preventative maintenance on electronic and electro-mechanical equipment for designated District.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES include the following:
Uses troubleshooting and repair skills to keep instrumentation in working order.
Installs and configures electronic, electro-mechanical and instrumentation equipment.
May assist and train mechanical technicians in testing components and repairing electrical problems.
Researches equipment and component needs and maintains electronic parts inventory.
Performs preventative maintenance on instrumentation and maintains preventative maintenance records.
Follows operating instructions for guidance in troubleshooting, maintenance, and performing general repairs.
Provides technical support in the form of operator training on electronic equipment.
Performs emergent repairs on electronics and instrumentation at field locations.
Works directly with vendors and other internal departments to advance business objectives and operations.
Other duties as assigned.

COMPETENCIES:
Education/Experience: High School Diploma or GED required.
Two years experience performing calibrations, troubleshooting, repairing and installing electrical components and equipment.
Associates Degree in Electronics preferred.
Experience repairing electronic components on coiled tubing, snubbing, nitrogen, fracturing, acidizing and pressure pumping equipment preferred.
Oilfield service industry experience preferred.
Language Skills: Must be able to speak, read and write English well enough to read technical documents and effectively communicate with team members.
Computer Skills: Must be able to use a Windows-based personal computer.
Other Technical Skills: Technical Trade School Electronics Training preferred.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: This position may be required to complete a functional test quantifying the physical requirements for the essential functions of the position.
Employee must be physically able to perform all essential job functions required in this position, with or without a reasonable accommodation.
Normally work outside at field locations in all weather conditions or in a shop environment.
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
May be required to wear or use a respirator.
Position may be subject to OSHA Medical Surveillance under 29 CFR 1910.1053.
OTHER QUALIFICATIONS: Complies with all Company Quality Management System Standards, Policies, Procedures and Work Instructions.
Supports the CES Quality Policy Statement.
Performs all work in accordance with established RPC and Company specific Policies, Procedures and Work Instructions.
Performs duties within established standards and customer requirements.
May be required to work a flexible schedule including weekends, holidays and evenings.
May be required to work outside their assigned District location to support internal and external customers.
