Description of Duties:
The DevOps/Test Engineer Supports The Missile Defense Agency (MDA) On The Integrated Research And Development For Enterprise Solutions (IRES) Contract. The Candidate Will
Identify process gaps, remediate findings, and author proposed solutions to management.
Maintain Version Control through proficient documentation
Work closely with a team of engineers, including system administrators, network engineers, system engineers, integrators, and cybersecurity engineers, to provide high quality, innovative engineering services to the Government customer.
Work with system engineers to identify and define requirements for new systems/system modifications, developing designs, and implementing and testing solutions.
Observe system installs, maintenance, break/fix activities, and cyber security mitigations are performed in accordance with established policies, procedures, and service level agreements.
Provide test expertise based on existing MDA test standards.
Communicate status, results, and recovery plans as need
Apply automation techniques for a variety of test scenarios in coordination with Systems Engineers.
Be able to generate robust test plans and procedures based on system specifications in coordination with Systems Engineers.
Develop test process flows / cases and generate test plan documentation.
Review and analyze system specifications.
Orchestrate integration and developmental test case execution, analyze results and provide feedback for best practices to improve throughput efficiency.
Support Government directed operational verification and validation tests.
Create logs to document testing phases and deficiencies.
Report defects and issues to stakeholders, and track them to closure.
Generate data collection procedures, execute data collection, and provide reports.

Take on additional duties that may be necessary to mission success
This position can be filled at Schriever SFB, Colorado Springs, CO.
This position is expected to pay $104,000 - $129,000 annually; depending on experience, education, and any certifications that are directly related to the position.
This position will be posted for a minimum of 3 days. If a candidate has not been selected at that time, it will continue to be posted until a suitable candidate is selected or the position is closed.

Qualifications
Basic Requirements:
Must have one of the following combinations of education and experience: HS Diploma (or GED) and 12 years of general experience; Associate’s degree and 10 years of general experience; Bachelor’s degree and 8 years of general experience; Master’s degree and 6 years of general experience
Must have 6 years of directly related experience
Must have 3 years of documented experience in management/leadership roles.
Familiar with version control tools such as GIT, SVN, Bitbucket, or CVS.
Experience with virtualization and containerized environments.
Experience with Linux and Windows Administration
Must have a current DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification or higher (Sec+) or ability to attain within 6 months
Must have an active DoD Secret Security Clearance or higher
Recent MDA experience
Desired Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical certifications or training, or work experience.
Have experience administering a Red Hat Linux in an air gapped environment.
Have a Red Hat Certified OpenShift Administrator Certification (EX280) or higher.
Have experience writing and executing Ansible playbooks
Have experience conducting log analysis to assess root cause analysis.
Have experience with DISA tools used in scanning and remediating computer system vulnerabilities
Have experience resolving hardware & software conflicts, performing server maintenance and break/fix activities
Have experience with programming and scripting with languages like Python, Java, and SQL.
Have comprehensive knowledge of VMware environments
Have DoD networking experience with classified data networks and strong grasp of red/black concepts and IA compliance
Have experience with DoD test design, data collection, and data validation/verification
Have experience with Requirements Traceability Matrices (RTMs), and ensuring 100% test coverage of the system requirements
Have experience leading Integrated Test Process Teams and technical reviews
Have experience in preparing and delivering briefings to management and customers
Have experience in performing innovative research
Have experience developing and delivering courses of action and solutions to test requirement
