Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Legal Counsel to join our innovative technology Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) company. Reporting directly to the CFO, you will play a crucial role in providing legal advice, conducting contract negotiations, and ensuring compliance with laws and regulations. Your expertise and guidance will be instrumental in supporting our fast-paced and dynamic operations in the technology industry. On-site presence in the Sunnyvale office 3 days a week.
Duties/Responsibilities
expert legal advice on contracts, intellectual property (IP), data privacy, regulatory compliance, and litigation.
draft, and negotiate various agreements ensuring legal and company policy compliance.
Collaborate with the CFO and teams to ensure legal compliance and risk mitigation in business operations.
Manage relationships with external law firms as needed (e.g. SEC filings, IP and litigation.)
Develop and implement legal policies and best practices to ensure compliance.
Advise management on strategic decisions to support growth and protect company interests.
Stay updated on relevant legal and regulatory changes and provide guidance on necessary adjustments to company practices.
Education and Experience
Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school; bar admission required.
3+ years of legal experience, focused on technology or SaaS.
Skilled in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and mitigate legal risks.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build relationships and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.
Experience in a fast-paced, high-growth environment preferred.
