Job Summary: The Software Engineer 1 (SE-1) is an entry-level position that will work as part of the TrulinX Development team to design, develop, and deploy software that enhances our portfolio of solutions. You will be partnered with an agile team to help create an industry-leading ERP package's product architecture, business and database objects, and UI.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Add new functionality to applications based on specifications provided by Product Management.
Provide reliable estimates based on functional specifications.
Troubleshoot and correct defects reported by customers and discovered by internal QA testing.
Create unit tests to be integrated into the nightly build to increase code reliability.
Recommend and execute improvements based on product and industry knowledge.
Assist with technical documentation.
Provide technical support to internal help desk associates and customers.
Required Skills and Abilities:
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work as part of a team.
Experience with one or more object-oriented or structured programming languages.
Basic understanding and experience with a commercial relational database (SQL, MySQL, Oracle, etc).
The ideal candidate will also have experience with all or some of the following:
VB and C# .NET
React JS and Blazer
SQL development and administration
Crystal Reports and DevExpress XtraReports
PowerShell scripting
NUnit testing framework
Jenkins integrations
Git version control
Agile and Scrum methodologies
Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s or associate degree in information systems or computer science or
Bachelor’s degree in mathematics, physics, or an equivalent hard science or
Successful completion of a coding boot camp or the equivalent or
1-2 years of professional software development experience.
