**THE ROLE**

The Vice President of E-Shops and Corporate Merchandise reports to the Senior Vice President, Golf and Strategic Growth and is responsible for developing and implementing golf merchandise sales platforms for golf shops and corporate clients aligned with the strategic business goals.

The role will successfully develop and launch an online merchandise platform for private and public golf shops to offer a custom online shopping experience to their members or public golfers without the risk of taking on new inventory or investing in expensive web design. Design, develop, and launch a custom website using state of the art technology and offer logoed merchandise and products from the best vendors in the industry. A password protected, or public, premium shopping service must be offered to golf clubs to suit whatever is best for their members or public golfers.

This individual with be a PGA Member and have proven success in the golf merchandise industry. The VP of E-Shops and Corporate Merchandise will be able to build upon current relationships amongst key PGA stakeholders to develop and implement a robust e-shops launch and execution strategy. This role will also oversee the Corporate Merchandising program with the objective of growing the current business and expanding outside of golf. Main responsibilities include the PGA of America Championships, PGA Partners, and creating new day-to-day business with event hospitality clients and golf facilities.

**ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS**

* Develop and manage an e-commerce merchandise solution for golf shops and corporate clients.

* Work with the Technology team to layout and develop the new e-commerce merchandise platform.

* Work with internal and external partners at golf venues and PGA meetings throughout the year to present and sell the e-shops solution.

* Create a business plan and go-to-market strategy that utilizes resources to deliver an e-commerce solution for golf shops and puts Legends at a competitive advantage in the golf industry.

* Develop and maintain relationships with golf merchandise industry leaders and PGA Members to ensure they support the e-shops business and corporate merchandise programs.

* Provide strategic counsel and manage work quality across internal and external communication channels

* Oversee the Director, Corporate Merchandise assigned to implement sales and marketing of corporate merchandise for all corporate hospitality purchasers and partners.

* Oversee the sales, marketing and administration of customized corporate dual-logo merchandise programs to event hospitality purchasers, bulk ticket package buyers, media, vendors and marketing partners

* Maintain client database.

* Other duties as assigned by the Senior Vice President, Golf and Strategic Growth

**QUALIFICATIONS**

* PGA Member with 10+ years of experience in golf industry merchandising, with a deep background developing and executing business plans in the golf and corporate merchandise spaces.

* Advanced knowledge of the golf merchandise industry and strong relationships with key accounts, PGA Members and National Sales Managers.

* Ability to develop and edit high-quality materials such as communications plans, white papers, proposals, executive correspondence, and presentations.

* A demonstrated ability to work under pressure, meet tight deadlines and be able and willing to work on multiple projects and tasks simultaneously.

* Ability to engage with and counsel senior level decision-makers across the clients business, and deliver connective insights to assist clients in driving alignment and execution of cross-company initiatives

* Must be an independent and strategic thinker who is a strong team player.

* Demonstrated experience working directly with clients on day-to-day activities, executing public relations plans effectively, and drafting and implementing strategic corporate communications programs within budget.

* Entrepreneurial attitude with a knack for building trusted relationships with clients and prospects that lead to additional, incremental new business opportunities.

* Superb verbal and interpersonal skills are essential as is an ability to think creatively and generate innovative ideas.

* Proven experience managing, leading, driving and measuring multiple team members toward a common goal.

* High levels of tact and diplomacy.

* Demonstrated experience with digital execution and implementation.
