Intertek, a leading provider of ATIC (Assurance, Testing, Inspection, and Certification) Services, is looking for a Director of Sales in Dallas, TX, Houston, TX or Austin, TX to join our Building & Construction team.
The Building & Construction team provides assurance, testing, inspection, and certification services and building science solutions to deliver Total Quality Assurance to the built environment. The team offers the architectural, engineering and construction (A/E/C) industry with a full suite of capabilities both in the lab and on site.
Job Overview: We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Director of Infrastructure Sales to join our Special Projects Team dedicated to pursuing work with the Texas Department of Transportation and expanding Intertek-PSI's footprint in the infrastructure market. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of the transportation construction industry, excellent communication skills, and a proven track record in sales.
Responsibilities:
Relationship Building:
Cultivate and maintain relationships with key decision-makers within the Texas Department of Transportation and Design Build Firms pursuing Infrastructure projects.
Collaborate with TxDOT officials to understand their needs and challenges.
Develop a deep understanding of our products and services related to transportation engineering and construction infrastructure.
Sales Strategy:
Develop and implement effective sales strategies to achieve and exceed sales targets.
Identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling within the TxDOT framework and within Top Design/Engineering Firms
Provide strategic guidance to internal sales and operational teams, setting clear goals and objectives.
Proposal Development:
Prepare and present compelling SOQs, proposals and presentations tailored to meet the specific needs of TxDOT and Infrastructure projects.
Collaborate with internal operational teams to ensure accurate and comprehensive proposal content.
Conduct market research to identify potential clients and emerging trends.
Analyze competitors and market conditions to refine sales strategies.
Customer Support:
Provide excellent customer support and address any concerns or issues raised by TxDOT.
Collaborate with the customer service team to ensure customer satisfaction.
Lead negotiations for major contracts and agreements with clients.
Additional Qualifications/Responsibilities
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in engineering, marketing, construction management, or a related field.
Proven experience in B2B sales, preferably within the transportation or infrastructure sector.
Familiarity with the Texas Department of Transportation's operations and procurement processes.
Strong communication and negotiation skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
Knowledge of transportation industry regulations and standards is preferred.
