Position Summary:
Responsible for preparing complete, accurate estimates for all contract and delivery method types.
Responsible for reviewing and finalizing bids/budgets prepared by assigned estimators.
Performs constructability reviews with client and architect.
Responsible for the preparation of preliminary estimates and studies during preconstruction, and monitoring design development cost trends to detect over-runs and potential problem areas. Participates in the value engineering process.
Participation in the preparation of construction schedule for estimating purposes; requests and discusses staffing requirements, and logistics plan with Project Executive, Project Manager, and Vice President of Construction.
Able to work on multiple projects as well as manage and support other estimators.
Fosters strong relationships with subcontractors and suppliers.
Supports Business Development in proposal presentations and aids in building Client and Architect/Engineer relationships.
Assists the Project Manager and Project Executive in evaluating, analyzing, and negotiating subcontractor proposals with the completion of thorough bid leveling documentation.
Manages the effective standardization, organization, preparation, and proper distribution/submission of preconstruction solicitations, qualification submissions, company information, and other preconstruction-related correspondence and reports.
Works with the Project Executive to identify all project risks and develop strategies to mitigate them.
Coordinates with other internal resources in support of exercising the aforementioned responsibilities, recognizing the importance of utilizing Company depth of skills, and development of others.
Actively participates in industry, client, and community relations to enhance company image.
Participates in evaluating, hiring, managing estimating staff assigned.
Be a coach and mentor to the other Associates within the organization, especially with the estimating team.
Operates with the highest level of detail and embodies Client core values in all aspects of the work.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Necessary Skills
Experience using the following systems: Plan Swift, Procore, Primavera P6, and Building Connected
Advanced knowledge of Sage 300 estimating software.
Proficient in Office 365.
The ability to multitask, prioritize, and work well under pressure to meet established deadlines.
Logical, analytical, and detail-oriented.
The ability to effectively communicate and work well with all types of personalities.
Education And Experience:
Four (4) year college degree in engineering, construction management, or similar preferred.
Minimum of 7-10 years of vertical building experience, with at least 5 years of service dedicated to estimating.
Primary Location: Bellefontaine, Ohio, or Columbus, Ohio
