Client Manager - Property & Casualty - Commercial Lines
Job Summary : Responsible for providing quality management1 of client relationships with oversight, guidance, and input from other senior members of the team. This includes growth on current book of business, an understanding of client's business, a minimum of 95% retention, and client satisfaction for a book of business.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
Quality Client Service & Expertise
Competently manage the client service cycle, monitor timeframes and meet renewal deadlines
With oversight, guidance and input from the CE/Producer:
Participate in stewardship planning and annual meeting by writing and creating portions of the report and performing research on the documents needed for the report
Retain and develop accounts by:
Making recommendations regarding the risk to the client for the most cost effective and proper insurance coverage
Preparing, writing proposals and providing quote comparisons
Evaluating and recommending other lines
Providing additional resources for the client as needed
Performing contract and new acquisition review
Market renewal and new lines of insurance including: Creating coverage specifications
Participate in creating manuscript coverage wording to satisfy a client's coverage need
Analyzing quotes received from carriers.
Negotiating with carriers
Creating and presenting the coverage analysis
Review policy coverage and identify cross-selling and additional revenue opportunities
Develop thorough understanding of client businesses, their policies, practices, and industries
Understand and guide clients through the initial objective setting process
Analyze data to draw conclusions and recommend findings to client
Assess client needs and questions and reviews options with clients, making sound recommendations on a day-today basis
Functional understanding of agency management computer system and other related software products
Basic understanding of client's business, policies and industries
Produce high quality work
Understand and stays current with technical and professional standards
Ensure legislative, regulatory and technical developments are appropriately communicated to clients
Service clients in accordance with PAR E&O professional service standards by complying with all E&O Plus, legal and regulatory requirements
Achieve a minimum rating of 90% from E&O Plus audits on all accounts
Keep informed of all new sales programs. Attend company sponsored seminar and educational activities, including staff webinars/seminars, necessary to maintain product knowledge and underwriting expertise
Demonstrate consultative approach in work

Minimum Qualifications Required to Successfully Performing the Essential Job Duties: College degree or equivalent work experience.
Three to five years experience, with a high level of dependability, handling large accounts.
Must possess strong interpersonal skills in written and verbal communication, planning and analysis.
Intermediate to Advanced knowledge and skills of Microsoft office suite such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Ability to accurately perform advanced mathematical calculations.
Intermediate to Advanced knowledge and skills and effective use of office equipment, primarily computer, telephone, fax machine, copier and calculator.
Above average to excellent grammatically proper speaking and writing skills to effectively communicate with customers and insurance companies.
Other Qualifications : Certificates, Licenses, Registrations Required to Successfully Performing the Essential Job Functions: Advanced insurance designations, such as CIC, CPCU, CEBS, CLU or other pertinent designations desirable
Appropriate jurisdictional license required
Maintain Appropriate Licenses: Life and Health, Property and Casualty desired for cross-selling opportunities
