Wells Manager

The Wells Manager will report to the Head of Operations and have responsibility for all wells related scopes. The successful candidate will manage the design and execution of all of wells including drilling, completion and testing activities, and will also oversee ongoing well integrity management, well repair and well recompletions as part of ongoing operations. The envisioned scope required to complete the first 4 phases of CCUS development involves approximately 15-20 new wells of several types, over the next 5 years.
Responsibilities
All new well design, materials planning, well-related contractor relationships, well construction (drilling), completion and testing operations on all well types.
Nurture relationship with regulators, contractors, and external stakeholders. There is an outward facing component of this role.
Support for ongoing Class VI permit applications, and all future well permit applications.
All design and operational leadership for existing well repair, recompletion or stimulation.
Management of ongoing well integrity activities for new wells and existing legacy wells.
Management of all well-related monitoring activities requiring intrusive well operations (injection logging etc)
Preventive wellhead maintenance.
Requirements
BS or MS in Petroleum Engineering
PE license or ability to obtain to use to support permit applications
10+ years experience in well control and well operations, well integrity management
Contracts and Procurement experience
Experience in the design, construction, and operation of CO2 injection and/or production wells preferred
Excellent communication skills in that role requires interaction with regulators, consultancies, contractors and stakeholders
Understanding of Class V and Class VI permitting regulations
