Minimum Requirements:

* Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Finance, Economics, Management, or related field* 7 years' experience in procurement/vendor management experience with a deep understanding of contract issues* Deep understanding of the organizational needs of a Professional Services organization (e.g., law firm, consulting, or accounting firm)* Excellent board-ready communication skills, including oral, formal written and presentation skills* Demonstrate analytical and critical thinking aptitude and ability to create innovative solutions* Self-starter with the ability to prioritize in a multi-tasking environment* Detailed oriented and highly organized* Commitment to superior quality and accuracy and a willingness to learn and adapt to change* Experience creating and presenting analysis to be used in business decisions while demonstrating strong verbal and written communication skills* Ability to work effectively with internal stakeholders, vendors, and support staff with strong interpersonal skills* Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint

What will your day look like?

As a Director of Procurement & Vendor Management, you will provide oversight of the vendor management team as they conduct vendor management activities. You will provide leadership to and manage a team of business professionals to include coaching, mentoring and professional development. You will be responsible for providing performance feedback on a regular basis. You will ensure robust vendor contract processes with quality control checks and milestone requirements and evolve said processes based on changing market and firm needs. You will jointly determine and execute on vendor management strategies aligned with firm priorities and objectives. You will promote vendor management goals and activities to firm leadership and end users. You will assist in establishing productive relationships and navigating cultural dynamics between firm leaders, business services stakeholders and vendor management function. You will establish working relationship with business unit leads and assess their purchasing needs to help support and strengthen stakeholder engagement with procurement processes and development of strategic purchasing strategies.

Additionally, you will effectively identify and mitigate potential roadblocks or conflicts, both internally and externally. You will ensure effective vendor management service delivery that meets firm leadership expectations and contractual commitments. You will proactively seek and identify opportunities to expand the scope of vendor management or determine the need for special projects, as available. You will oversee development and implementation of measurement tools and tracking to monitor performance, analyze outcomes and efficiency, and report to firm leadership. You will continue to mature and develop programs within procurement, such as supplier diversity and sustainability, that support the firm's business responsibilities and goals. You will assist with communication and rollout of policies and procedures developed by vendor management function to key business services stakeholders. You will manage other firm projects and other duties as assigned.

Physical Demands, Work Environment, and Other Requirements

Sedentary work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally, and all other sedentary criteria are met.

The expected annual pay range for this position, if hired to work in New York City is $189,950 - $289,695 per year. If hired to work in San Francisco or Palo Alto the expected annual pay range is $198,209 - $302,291 per year. If hired to work in Los Angeles, San Diego, or Seattle the expected annual pay range is $181,692 - $277,100 per year. The compensation offered to a candidate selected for employment will be dependent upon various factors, including the candidate's geographic market, skills, educational and professional background, experience, and overall qualifications. We offer a comprehensive package of benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, and 401(k).
