NCRC was formed in 1990 by national, regional and local organizations to increase the flow of private capital into traditionally underserved communities. NCRC has grown into an association of more than 600 community-based organizations in 42 states that promote access to basic banking services, affordable housing, entrepreneurship, job creation and vibrant communities for America's working families.
Position Overview
The Community Impact Program Manager will serve as the lead and main point of contact in the administration of select NCRC programs, including the NCRC Fellowship for Equitable Development and the Field Empowerment Fund. You will ensure programs are compliant with grant agreements and are executed within established timelines and will be responsible for the experience of participants and funders. In collaboration with the Director of Community Impact, this role will analyze effectiveness and impact of programs to determine areas of improvement and implement iterative change. You will play a key role in supporting the growth and development of successful national programs that serve as cornerstones of NCRC's offerings to network members.
This position is based in DC as part of a hybrid environment with 2 days in the office and reports to the Director of Community Impact.
Responsibilities
* Serve as lead in the administration of select NCRC programs. This primarily includes, but is not limited to, the NCRC Fellowship for Equitable Development and the Field Empowerment Fund* Develop program timelines, in collaboration with Director* Monitor programs from inception to completion, follow up with program participants to track progress and ensure successful outcomes and work products within established deadlines* Serve as main point of contact for potential applicants and participants for select programs* Respond to inquiries via phone and email from affiliates, members, potential applicants, sub-grantees and other interested parties, and provide them with information and/or refer them to the appropriate member of the team for specialized follow-up* Review grant applications against program criteria to select subgrantees* Ensure proper documentation and data is obtained from program participants and grant procedures are followed* Manage invoicing and disbursement process for grants within select programs, including collaborating with other internal Divisions to ensure timely grant payment* Manage the grants management system and track application development status* Attend outreach events, assist in marketing programs and establishing new member alliances* Collaborate with Communications department to promote the successful experience and work of program participants (i.e. newsletter spotlights, social media and blog posts)* Develop and foster alumni experience for past participants of programs* Lead external presentations, such as informational webinars, to publicize programs as needed* Produce periodic program reports and required ad-hoc reports for internal assessment of the program* Assist Director with developing and implementing impact measurement metrics and tools* Assist Director with exploring opportunities to highlight select programs at NCRC annual conference
Qualifications
* 4 years of experience in grants management or related experience* A strong working knowledge of federal grant programs preferred* Bachelor's degree in relevant field preferred* Bilingual preferred* Excellent communication skills* Willing to travel moderately* A willingness to work with diverse socioeconomic groups* A team player, organized, detailed oriented, can work in a fast-paced environment* Proficient in Microsoft Office, Google Suites and Outlook 365

* Project management skills: Outstanding interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively, independently, and effectively with staff to successfully implement Community Impact programs* Quality Control: Ability to ensure quality control and oversight of affiliates. Ability to perform accurate and timely follow-through of requests and programmatic duties.* Grant Management: Ability to track grant deliverables and objectives as assigned by Director.* Technological Maintenance: Provide lead support on grant management system and client management system for staff and affiliates.* Payment processing: Track vendor, contractor and grantee payments for eligible processing through Concur system.* Problem Solving: Ability to develop solutions to unexpected difficulties that may arise during program planning or execution.* Analysis: Ability to evaluate program success and develop recommendations for program improvement.
