Information Technology Analyst

Thompson Seattle is seeking a Information Technology Analyst to join the team! This role is responsible for the ongoing support and maintenance of the Local Area Networks within the building. Responsibilities include installation and support of server based software, developing server/product migration plans, and troubleshooting problems.
Key Responsibilities:
1. System Maintenance and Support:
· Monitor the performance of our IT systems, including networks, servers, and software applications.
· Respond promptly to any technical issues or outages, troubleshoot problems, and implement solutions to minimize downtime.
· Conduct regular maintenance tasks, such as updates, patches, and backups, to ensure system reliability and security.
2. Technology Implementation:
· Collaborate with management and department heads to identify opportunities for implementing new technologies that enhance hotel operations or guest services.
· Research, evaluate, and recommend hardware and software solutions that align with our business objectives and budgetary constraints.
· Lead or assist in the implementation of approved technology projects, including system upgrades, installations, and integrations.
3. User Training and Support:
· Provide training and support to staff members on the use of IT systems and applications, ensuring that they have the knowledge and skills needed to perform their duties effectively.
· Serve as a point of contact for users seeking technical assistance or guidance, offering prompt and courteous support to resolve issues and answer questions.
4. Security and Compliance:
· Implement and enforce security measures to protect our IT infrastructure and data from unauthorized access, cyber threats, and compliance risks.
· Stay informed about emerging cybersecurity threats and best practices, proactively addressing vulnerabilities and implementing safeguards to mitigate risks.
5. Documentation and Reporting:
· Maintain accurate records and documentation related to IT assets, configurations, procedures, and incidents.
· Generate regular reports on system performance, service levels, and incident resolution metrics, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.
