Job Duties The Clinical Trial Research Program is seeking a Fund Manager for the Department of Medicine Clinical
Trials. In this role, you will oversee an assigned portfolio of accounts, prepare monthly financial
statements, monthly ledger reconciliation for correctness and resolve to reverse and incorrect charges
and follow-up with clinical team and other servicing departments. You will attend team meetings, budget
review and preparation, contract review and invoicing, maintain calculation workbook, and filing.
Prepare, route and track all internal study documents, OneCore data entry and serve as back up with
budget committee scheduling. In addition, you will provide overall support to Department of Medicine
Office of Research Administration and serve as back-up for divisional needs and assist with special
projects as requested.
Qualifications Ability to analyze problems, assesses needs, and provides alternatives.
Skill in working independently and following through on assignments with minimal direction.
Ability to perform under the pressure of frequent interruptions and distractions.
Skill in using a personal computer and computer software such as Excel, Word, Microsoft Mail
and various patient databases such as the OnCore
Ability to establish and maintain excellent working relationships with faculty, fellows, research
nurses and other Division staff, Hospital, University, Clinics, and community Oncology practices
in order to solve problems and expedite document processing.
Knowledge of University, clinic and hospital policies and procedures.
Minimal working knowledge of medical terminology sufficient to recognize and analyze
appropriateness of research expenses from clinic, clinical labs, radiology, CTRC and other
hospital, clinic and University departments.
Knowledge of Federal, State and private agency funding policies and procedures too effectively
manage basic research contracts and grants.
Typing skills sufficient to prepare correspondence, memos, and financial reports with speed and
accuracy.
Ability to organize and manipulate a large quantity of data.
