In-Home Therapy is an intensive therapeutic intervention designed to stabilize families in crisis in order to reduce out of home placement. In-Home Therapists (IHT) provide structured, family focused, strength-based, wrap-around, clinical services to children/adolescents ages 3-21 and their families. IHT services are provided in the home and community and are focused on increasing children/adolescents and the family system's ability to support kids in learning new skills to manage and overcome social, emotional, psychological, and developmental struggles. In-Home Therapy is a wrap-around model of care and requires focus on supporting kids and families in all life domains through both clinical as well as case management support. This is a full time position requiring evening and weekend hours.
There are currently, multiple openings for IHT with some openings requiring fluency in the Spanish language.
The intent of this job description is to provide a representative summary of duties and responsibilities that will be required of positions given this title. Employees may be requested to perform job-related tasks other than those specifically presented in this description.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Travel without restriction to children's homes and throughout the community
Must have a valid driver's license and car. Ability to operate a motor vehicle safely
Provide in-home family therapy to children/adolescents and families
Assist the family in identifying and utilizing community resources and natural supports
Coordinate with collateral providers, state agencies, schools and natural supports
Maintain accurate clinical charts and follow all clinical documentation timelines and requirements
Ensure that all services are provided in a professional and strengths-based manner
Ensure that all services are provided according to Insurance Performance Specifications
Participate in all administrative functions of this position, including actively participating in weekly supervision and attending weekly team meetings
Meet agency productivity requirements
Follow all agency safety protocols
Commitment to highest quality of care
Strong commitment to Italian Home's values, philosophy and mission
Masters level degree from an accredited program
Independent MA Licensure preferred
Bilingual Spanish Speaking preferred
Experience in child, adolescent, and family therapy
Experience with case management
Maintain strictest confidentiality with respect to agency, employee, and client information; adhere to all HIPAA guidelines and regulations
Sound and appropriate clinical and professional judgment
Strong clinical documentation skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Superior organizational skills and strong attention to detail and accuracy
Demonstrated ability to clinically and professionally model, teach, and support
Superior collaboration and teamwork skills
Flexibility in action, thinking and scheduling
Demonstrated ability to accept and give critical feedback
Demonstrated strength in follow up and follow through on tasks and timely documentation; able to prioritize
Maintains calm and can perform in a stressful and fast-paced environment
Skilled in working independently
Creative, thoughtful and able to make good decisions quickly in crisis situations
