We are actively seeking an adept Electrical and Systems Engineer with a strong background in diagnostic instrument development to join our dynamic engineering team. This role is critical in driving the design and implementation of electrical systems that are integral to our diagnostic devices. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in the design of low-noise analog circuits, firmware development, embedded systems, along with a passion for advancing medical technology.

**Essential Duties and Responsibilities**

+ Expertise in designing low noise analog circuits and power electronics.

+ Demonstrated experience with signal processing in biomedical applications.

+ Knowledge of motor control and experience with various electromechanical, electrooptical, and electromagnetic systems.

+ Strong proficiency in firmware development and embedded systems programming.

+ Proficiency in embedded system hardware design and understanding of software-hardware integration.

+ A solid grasp of mechanical systems and their interaction with electrical systems.

+ Advanced understanding of thermal control in biomedical applications, including expertise in thermal cycling, precision temperature regulation for biochemical reactions, and design of temperature control systems for diagnostic assays and molecular biology techniques.

+ Familiarity with industry standards and regulations relevant to medical device development.

+ Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

+ Interdisciplinary experience with diagnostic and molecular diagnostic instruments is a significant plus, demonstrating the ability to collaborate effectively across various scientific and engineering domains.

**Experience**

+ Candidates should come with hands-on experience in a regulated biomedical or medical device development environment.

+ Proven experience in the end-to-end design and delivery of electrical systems for medical-grade instruments, from concept to market.

+ A portfolio of successful projects that involved complex problem-solving and cross-functional collaboration within the biomedical engineering space.

+ Experience with Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and Design for Testability (DFT) as they pertain to medical devices.

+ Familiarity with the full product lifecycle, including requirements gathering, system design, prototyping, testing, certification, and product launch.

+ Practical experience with quality management systems and documentation for medical devices such as ISO 13485, FDA regulations, and CE marking.

+ A record of successful engagement with stakeholders such as regulatory bodies, clinical partners, and internal teams.

**Skills**

+ Demonstrated excellent organizational skills

+ Demonstrated excellent verbal and written communication skills

+ Demonstrate the ability to work effectively and productively with cross functional and interdepartmental teams

**Education**

+ Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely related field.

The annualized base salary range for this role is $76,900 to $115,400 and is bonus eligible. Final compensation packages will ultimately depend on factors including relevant experience, skillset, knowledge, geography, education, business needs and market demand.
