A Dialysis Registered Nurse provides specialized nursing care at one of DCI's in-center hemodialysis units as part of a patient care team. Our RNs are integral in ensuring safe care and the highest quality outcomes are prioritized for every patient.

Schedule: Full-time, three 12-hour shifts; Sundays off; no overnight shifts

Responsibilities

What You Can Expect:

* Prepare dialysis machine, its alarms, and treatment supplies and ensure quality standards are met* Perform hemodialysis treatments per facility policies and procedures* Ongoing patient education, training and health coaching* Monitor patients during dialysis, assessing and communicating changes with physician and families* Administer and chart all prescribed medications* Follow CDC/CMS infection control regulations* Participate in patient care conferences, rounds and chart reviews* Document required patient education efforts* Facilitate continuity of care with local hospitals* Assist in medication inventory maintenance* Lead a small patient care team* Contribute to onboarding new staff members as directed* Additional tasks as requested

Qualifications

Successful Candidates Bring:

* Excellent communication skills* Demonstrated clinical excellence* Desire to collaborate with care teams* Ability to problem solve

Education/Training:

* Accredited nursing degree required* Dialysis experience not required, job shadow opportunities available* DCI provides 3-months of comprehensive training, including classroom group sessions and one-on-one skills training* New graduates encouraged to apply
