Role Description:
Candidates for this job must have a strong eye for detail, be a self-starter, provide quick and strategic solutions based upon analysis derived from multiple data sources, adapt to sudden changes, manage difficult and complex challenges, and work collaboratively within a team and cross-functionally with excellent oral and written communication skills. We are looking for fast paced, self-motivated team players who must have a can-do attitude and thrive in a start-up type setting including helping to define processes, establish best-practices and contribute to building a high performing team. Additionally, the candidate will be responsible for maintaining inventory managed tanks at acceptable fuel levels, along with scheduling deliveries to customers in the most optimal and efficient method, while maximizing assets and aligning with the defined business strategy.
Responsibilities:
Troubleshoot logistics, inventory management and supply chain related concerns
Handle incoming chat messages, emails, and calls from truck drivers and customers
Assist drivers with questions about their schedules and update the dispatch as needed
Maintain healthy fuel inventory levels at the most competitive price
Provide quality customer service to customers and drivers
Assist in finding 3rd party carriers to haul fuel loads to our Atlas Oil sites
Build and maintain a strong relationship with a network of fuel carriers
Collaborate in locating optimal pull points during disruptions or arbitrage
Verify fuel supply availability via supplier portals and other forms of communication such as email, IM and phone calls
Review Daily Scorecard to identify opportunity loss. Formulate action plan to capture opportunities
Other duties assigned as needed
Business Process Skill:
Capable of managing 100+ emails per shift.
Ability to manage competing demands in an extremely fast-paced environment
Petroleum industry and supply chain knowledge (preferred)
Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to problem solve
Willingness and ability to accept continual training and constructive criticism.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Word and Excel
Education and Experience:
HS Diploma or equivalent required
Bachelor’s degree in Logistics or Supply Chain Management (preferred)
1-2 years’ experience in fuel hauling logistics (preferred)
Physical Demands:
Requires prolonged sitting
Occasional lifting up to 25 pounds.
Manual dexterity sufficient to operate a computer keyboard and calculator.
Requires normal range of hearing and vision.
Able to work alternative shifts, long hours, weekends and holidays as needed
