Vendor Management Specialist

Overview
Manages the relationship with both new and established vendors, including but not limited to customer service, claims processing, enrollment, medical management, credentialing and grievance and appeals. Monitors contracts for compliance and implementation to ensure adherence to VNS Health Plan and regulatory standards. Follows up on and facilitates communication between vendors and VNS Health Plan business units to identify and resolve issues and concerns, as well as to identify opportunities for improvement.
Compensation:
$70,200.00 - $87,700.00 Annual

What You Will Do
Partners with external partners and vendors to drive efficient and collaborative partnerships and integrations.
Collaborates with internal stakeholders to gather input requirements such as vendor capabilities, timelines, and budget.
Acts as a liaison between employees, internal support areas, and other departments.
Serves as liaison with other internal VNS Health functions, outside consultants, and providers to manage progress, measure performance, and communicate status to key stakeholders.
Ensures the proficient and effective implementation of change management.
Works with the functional managers to understand their vendor needs and strategy to implement project solutions.
Sources, evaluates, onboards, and manages key research vendors/suppliers.
Leads capability investigations, writes and submits RFI/RFPs and analyzes results of proposals to inform vendor selection and strategies.
Ensures the end-to-end Vendor Management processes and Procurement policies are implemented efficiently.
Advocates for and implement new processes to provide efficiency, innovation, and speed.
Develops an understanding of the overall technology vendors' landscape to provide intelligent industry analysis as needed.
Develops, standardizes, and implements vendor processes and procedures in partnership with finance, project management, engineering, and the broader procurement organization.
Plans and conducts vendor risk analysis, and qualification activities, including review of vendor evaluation questionnaires and reference checks.
Reviews agreements and make recommendations to mitigate business and contractual risk.
Demonstrates a functional acumen to support how solutions will address client goals while maintaining alignment with industry best practices.
Coordinates Biweekly/monthly/quarterly JOC’s, as needed.
Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Education:
Bachelor's Degree in Business, Health Administration, Health Policy, or related discipline required, or equivalent work experience required
Work Experience:
Minimum three years Vendor and/or Account Management experience required Previous work experience in Health Care Industry preferred Effective oral/written communication and interpersonal skills required Knowledge of government programs, including Medicare and Medicaid preferred Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, SharePoint) required Knowledge of Visio preferred Ability to facilitate meetings required
