Project Engineer - Highway/Roadway/Transit

Our client's Austin, Texas Office has a full-time opportunity for a Project Engineer - Transportation. The successful candidate will be a registered Professional Engineer in the State of Texas with transportation project experience in roadway design, drainage studies/design, traffic control, permitting, utility relocations, right-of-way engineering, construction document preparation, and post design construction services. Experience with transit projects (CAP METRO) including track design desired. The candidate will work in a team environment on transportation, transit, and public works projects primarily in Austin with opportunities to work on projects for other offices.

Responsibilities:
Serve as Civil Engineer in the development of roadway/transit feasibility and planning studies, geometric design schematics, construction plans, specifications and estimates
Coordinate with EITs, designers and drafters
Review shop drawings, perform field observations, and facilitate the construction administration
Support project proposals, scopes, budgets, and manage execution and tracking of projects
Complete projects within client specifications, budgets and schedules
Assist in preparation of project reports including feasibility studies, implementation plans, engineering summary reports, and drainage impact analyses
Coordinate online meetings, preparation of meeting agendas, and distribution of meeting
Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering (BSCE).
Registered Professional Engineer in Texas
5-10+ years of transportation engineering design experience
Proficient in MicroStation, Geopak, OpenRoads, AutoCAD Civil 3D
Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Project and PowerPoint
Ability to interact with clients and multi-discipline team members
Excellent organizational, verbal and written communication skills
