The Biogeographic Data Branch seeks candidates for an exciting opportunity to join a team of dedicated wildlife professionals by providing critical administrative support to the athe California Natural Diversity Database (CNDDB) Program, the California Analysis Unit (CAU), the Vegetation and Classification Mapping Program (VegCAMP), and the Global Information System (GIS) Program. The position will work under the general direction of the Branch Chief.
This position duties include assisting with solicitations, Interagency Agreements, grants and contracts; tracking BDB budget (expenditures/allotments); running fiscal system reports and monitor charges; ensure proper funding is used within BDB; processing budget-related paperwork; creating requisitions, purchase orders, contracts, vouchers, and receipts; complete non-IT procurement documents; process invoices; assist with RPAs and hiring documentation; and coordinate with Accounting and Budgets when necessary.
Applicants should have strong analytical, writing, and interpersonal skills. Note, this is a 12-month Limited Term position, with an option to extend an additional 12-months. This position is a 12 month Limited Term (LT) and may be extended up to 24 months or become permanent.
If you currently have permanent status in your position and have passed probation, you have mandatory reinstatement rights into your former position at the end of this LT appointment. If you have not had prior permanent or probationary civil service status, you will be separated from state service.
