The Manager, Architectural is responsible for assigning Architectural staff to projects. Assists in writing proposals, developing hours to execute projects, and identifying risks and opportunities for upcoming projects. Evaluates and manages employees under their supervision.
Explore your tasks and responsibilities
Trains and develops Architects and Architectural Designers in all processes/procedures/standards
Guides and oversees the team to achieve the correct technical solutions to difficult design and client problems while maintaining primary accountability for all architectural designs, sharing design responsibility
Be familiar with all local discipline projects in sufficient detail to know schedule, resource requirements, submittal dates, etc. so staff can be allocated as needed to accomplish a smooth product flow
Adept at interfacing with and aligning multiple stakeholders with diplomacy
Reviews architectural drawings for completeness, constructability, and coordination. Coordinates and guides the team to achieve the correct technical solutions to difficult design and client problems
Collaborates with design and technical teams while supporting or leading the development of design deliverables from studies to Construction Documents, including drawings and specifications
Understands Standard Installation Details, client BIM standards, industry drafting and design standards
Participates in the development of office standards and procedures
Manages the overall integration of activities associated with the design and construction of complex manufacturing facilities

Bachelor's degree in Architecture or Master's in Architecture preferred
10+ years of experience
Architectural License (AIA) required
LEED AP with Specialty or GA (Green Associate) preferred
Nation Council of Architectural Registration Boards (NCARB) Certificate required
Be capable of enjoying the work and keeping a positive attitude in a challenging environment
Demonstrated track record of strong architectural office leadership
Exhibit a professional demeanor and be a proactive problem solver
Ability to manage 10+ staff
Prior experience with semiconductor and microelectronics facilities
Demonstrated track record of strong architectural office leadership
Experience planning and directing the coordinated activities of a design department
Experience working in a collaborative, multi discipline office environment
Experience managing multiple project teams and project types
Experience working in a multi-office execution environment
Experience working with high-hazard (H Occupancy) facility types
Experience managing teams utilizing Autodesk Building Systems Software
Experience with Design-Build a plus
Experience in global teams and/or multi-office project execution is desirable
Experience in driving and managing change
