Summary :
Resource to be Responsible for managing and maintaining the BSC's Tableau platform, ensuring its performance, security, and availability. Provide support and training to our Tableau users, helping them create and share data visualizations that drive business insights.
Responsibilities:
Install, configure, and upgrade Tableau software and server components
Monitor and optimize Tableau server performance, availability, and capacity
Troubleshoot and resolve Tableau-related issues, such as data access, dashboard loading, etc.
Manage user access and permissions, ensuring compliance with data governance policies and best practices
Create and maintain backup and recovery plans for Tableau data and workbooks
Provide technical support and guidance to Tableau users, including creating and editing SQL queries, data sources, and calculated fields
Collaborate with data engineers, analysts, and other stakeholders to ensure data quality, accuracy, and availability
Develop and document Tableau administration processes, standards, and best practices
Stay updated on Tableau features, enhancements, and best practices
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field
8+ years of experience as a Tableau administrator or developer
Proficient in Tableau Desktop and Server, including installation, configuration, administration, and troubleshooting
Experience with SQL, data modeling, and data visualization techniques
Knowledge of data governance, security, and privacy principles and practices
Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Certification in Tableau or related technologies is a plus
