Kelly Engineering is seeking a CONTRACT Senior Manufacturing Process Engineer to join our client in Dayton, OH. As a Sr. Manufacturing Process Engineer, you'll play a pivotal role in developing, evaluating, and enhancing production processes within our machine shop and assembly areas. This is at least a CONTRACT position that will offer flexibility in the work schedule!
Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive machine cycle time studies, sharing insights and recommendations with cross-functional team members.
Assist in evaluating and refining manufacturing processes, utilizing ERP software and continuous improvement tools.
Collaborate closely with setup associates to address process or tooling issues, recommending appropriate fixturing and tooling solutions.
Analyze and troubleshoot process and tool-related challenges, driving productivity enhancements.
Make data-driven recommendations for equipment modifications or replacements to support demand and improve efficiency.
Establish and update manufacturing standards, ensuring the integrity of critical documents such as prints, bills of material, and setup sheets.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives and implement plant capital programs to enhance operational capabilities.
Champion safety awareness initiatives, fostering a culture of safety among plant team members.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field.
Minimum of five years of experience in a CNC machining environment.
Comprehensive understanding of turning and machining technologies and processes.
Proficiency in CAD (solid modeling) and CAM software, with demonstrated experience.
Strong knowledge of GD&T principles.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
Proven track record of driving process improvements and delivering results in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
