POSITION
TSB Capital Advisors is seeking an experienced Associate for its Phoenix team. The Associate will have the opportunity to interact and work directly with all team members. Key responsibilities of the position are:
The candidate will be primarily responsible for financial modeling, producing high quality marketing materials and offering memorandums and delivering detailed market analysis to secure debt and equity financing and investments for commercial real estate developers, investors, and owners
The candidate will report directly to senior team members and enjoy a high level of visibility and access to the founder and most senior partner of the firm
Preparing and developing pro formas and financial models by utilizing property financials, macro capital market trends, current market and competitive property trends, and legal due diligence matters
Researching, analyzing, and summarizing market and submarket information including inventory, absorption, supply pipeline, and rent and vacancy trends
Reviewing and analyzing complex commercial real estate legal documents, including, but not limited to, commercial leases, purchase and sale agreements, loan agreements, easement agreements, development agreements, and memorandum of understanding agreements.
Conducting telephone interviews to solicit market data with brokers, appraisers, investors, and other market participants
Gathering and evaluating economic, demographic, and real estate market data for presentations
Developing skills to source new financing opportunities and marketing the firm through skillful and active participation in the real estate community
REQUIREMENTS
2-4 years of finance or commercial real estate finance experience, with emphasis on underwriting and valuation
Strong academic background
Minimum of a bachelor’s degree
Understanding of CRE Valuation and basic capital markets principals (NPV, income capitalization, IRR, & bond math)
Very high-level of proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word
Attention to detail is critical
Ability to operate both independently and in a team environment
Strong written, verbal and presentation skills are required
Strong work ethic
Strong organizational skills
