Our client, a leading mental health organization in the San Francisco Bay Area that is dedicated to providing quality behavioral coaching and therapeutic services to youth and their families. They are seeking a Director of Behavioral Health Services to spearhead the development and management of their expanding program for youth ages 0-24 and their families.
Salary/Hourly Rate:
$150,000 - $175,000
Position Overview:
This Director of Behavioral Health Services role involves operational oversight, quality improvement, and collaboration with our new Psychological Services Center, which trains doctoral-level psychology students. The Director of Behavioral Health Services collaborates with the executive team to review financials, meet targets, and negotiate contracts.
Responsibilities of the Director of Behavioral Health Services:
Lead the implementation team through the start-up and expansion process
Develop business opportunities and engage in marketing activities
Provide operational and programmatic oversight to Outpatient Mental Health Services
Be onsite 70% of the time to ensure program standards and quality care
Set clear goals, track progress, provide feedback, and address performance issues
Supervise staff to ensure proper delivery of services
Interface with partners and represent the agency professionally to external parties
Ensure best practices are applied in all aspects of work
Perform other duties as assigned or needed by the program
Qualifications for the Director of Behavioral Health Services: Minimum of 5 years relevant work experience
LCSW, LMFT, or PhD/PsyD with Clinical License preferred
Experience in a therapeutic setting with children, youth, and families
Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with individuals and groups
Excellent verbal, written, and consultation skills
Awareness of and sensitivity to multicultural issues
Valid CA Driver's License
Education Requirements: Bachelor's degree in social sciences from an accredited university or college is required
Advanced degree (LCSW, LMFT, PhD/PsyD) is preferred
