As a Cyber Security Intern for Security Operations at GSOC, you will be responsible for supporting our cyber mission, including but not limited to gaining an understanding and assisting with cyber programs such as security monitoring, incident response, vulnerability management, device and data protection, system administration, physical security controls and Critical Infrastructure Protection (CIP) compliance program.
Job Duties:
Support and learn from experienced cyber security engineers, developers, and analysts.
Assist with cyber programs such as security monitoring, incident response, vulnerability management, device and data protection, system administration, physical security controls and Critical Infrastructure Protection (CIP) compliance program.
Assist in developing cyber security program documentation, including policies, procedures, standards, guidelines, and other documentation as needed.
Help provide regular reports and updates to management on the status of security and compliance.
Required Qualifications:
Education : Enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program in Cyber Security, Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field of study. Students must have a minimum 2.8 GPA and have completed at least 2 semesters of college level coursework prior to the start of the internship.
Experience : No professional work experience required.
Specialized Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills, time management skills, hands-on experience with technology, and ability to work in a professional environment. Must be able to pass a NERC CIP personnel risk assessment screening.
