Position Overview:

Is responsible for stocking and storing lab medical and/or testing supplies primarily in both Supply Chain Storeroom and departmental par locations within the laboratory. Activities include, but not limited to, receiving, inventory management, supply and equipment requisitions, forecasting, supplier relations, product conversions, billing support, vendor returns, invoice and backorder resolution, unpacking shipment deliveries to perpetually receive & physically stock supplies within the physical inventory storage locations.

Must work both independently and in conjunction with department manager/director, clinicians and physicians to promote an efficient, cost-effective Supply Chain system that meets the short- and long-term goals of Supply Chain and clinical departments within the Shared Laboratory environment.

Provides expertise and assistance for all clinical and non-clinical equipment (when able) and supplies including coordinating product trials and monitoring contract compliance in order to assure continued cost base price management.

Is instrumental in maintaining and enhancing the Cycle Count Program and annual inventory process to perform Annual Physical Inventories ( PI ) utilizing best practices.

Additional to the key accountabilities listed above within the position job description, employees working in this role/position are also responsible to perform other duties as requested which largely include assistance in managing facilities duties - ( Accountabilities to these duties listed below in this job positing )

Job Description:

EDUCATION:

* HS Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED)

TYPICAL EXPERIENCE:

* 2 years recent relevant experience

* Supply Chain Experience preferred

* Supply Chain ERP system Experience preferred

* Lawson Procurement System Experience preferred

SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:

* Knowledge of related Healthcare regulatory requirements preferred.

* Proficiency with Microsoft Office - Outlook, Word & Excel

* Routine work requiring problem-solving capability and paying close attention to detail.

* Must possess aptitude in math and computer operation.

* Must have the skills to produce accurate work results within established timeframes.

* Must have the ability to work independently with minimal guidance and direction.

* Must abide by the department's policy on Conflict of Interest.

PHYSICAL DEMAD ACTIVITIES AND REQUIREMENTS:

Lifting: Raising objects from a lower to a higher position or moving objects horizontally from position to-position

Heavy lifting: Up to 75 pounds and over

Exposure: To dust, gas or fumes, chemicals

Pushing: Using upper extremities to press against something with steady force in order to thrust forward.

Kneeling: Bending legs at knee to come to a rest on knee or knees.

Crawling: Moving about on hands and knees or hands and feet. ( While also working at higher elevations )

Climbing: Ascending or descending ladders, stairs, scaffolding, and/or ramps, using feet and legs and/or hands and arms, as needed to perform a specific scope of work.

Pay Range is $34.20 to $42.74 / hour

The salary range for this role may vary above or below the posted range as determined by location. This range has not been adjusted for any specific geographic differential applicable by area where the position may be filled. Compensation takes into account several factors including but not limited to a candidate's experience, education, skills, licensure and certifications, department equity, training and organizational needs. Base pay is just one piece of the total rewards program offered by Sutter Health. Eligible roles also qualify for a comprehensive benefits package.
