Lead Software Engineer
Job Description :
Lead Software Engineer positions offered by Cox Automotive Corporate Services, LLC (Atlanta, GA). Responsible for leading projects to develop and refine automation systems on AWS and Github for engineering teams to deploy and test software on AWS Cloud. Lead the development and maintenance of systems to collect and process data on New Relic for performance management and alerting. Integrate Cox Auto Mobility systems with PagerDuty for incident management. Integrate automation systems with Rally and TestRail for reporting and analysis for software test data. Conduct fault tolerance and resilience testing for software applications hosted on AWS cloud, and automate resilience testing and data collection. Detect performance stability problems in the Cloud architecture and implement solutions. Detect stability problems with software applications and work with the applications team to resolve them. Possess an in-depth understanding of dependent systems, research and design solutions, and champion those solutions to the team. Participate in the definition of end user requirements, functionality specifications, and deliverables for specific platform; and provide estimates for work effort required. Build relationships with business representatives such as Fleet Operations employees, Fleet Services employees, and Product Managers. Work with release engineers to deploy changes to production environment. Provide ongoing support, monitoring, and maintenance of deployed products. Provide technical guidance and experience to less experienced software engineers, serving as a coach and mentor to improve our standards of design and create consistent best practices for coding standards
Minimum Requirements :
Requires a bachelor's or foreign equivalent degree in computer science, computer engineering, mathematics, or related field and 6 years of experience in the position offered or 6 years of experience developing or testing large cloud-based web applications. In lieu of a bachelor's degree in the aforementioned fields and 6 years of experience as stated, the employer will accept a master's or foreign equivalent degree in the aforementioned fields and 4 years of experience as stated, or a Ph.D. or foreign equivalent degree in the aforementioned fields and 1 year of experience as stated. Also requires 1 year of experience: developing Test Automation Frameworks and integration with Jira or Rally work management systems. Also requires experience: working with cloud infrastructure on AWS, Azure or GCP; working with Docker or Kubernetes containers; programming in two of the following languages : Java, Python, Scala, Go, C, or C++; working with Linux or Unix; using Jenkins or CircleCI; using Terraform, Puppet, or Ansible; working with MySQL or Postgres; working with Snyk, Veracode, or Blackduck; and working with Github or Bitbucket. Position reports to office in Atlanta, GA. Position may work from home, but must live within commuting distance of stated office.

Compensation includes a base salary of $156,750 to $187,682. The base salary may vary within the anticipated base pay range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate's knowledge, skills, and abilities. Position may be eligible for additional compensation that may include an incentive program.
The Company offers eligible employees the flexibility to take as much vacation with pay as they deem consistent with their duties, the company's needs, and its obligations; seven paid holidays throughout the calendar year; and up to 160 hours of paid wellness annually for their own wellness or that of family members.
